The Sandy Springs Mayor and City Council adopted the new Development Code and Zoning Map during their August 15, 2017 meeting and it will go into effect beginning September 15, 2017. The approval brings to a close the two-year, Next Ten planning process updating the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Development Code.

Work on the development code began late 2016 and continued through summer 2017, including a series of open houses, stakeholder meetings, drop-in hours at city hall, surveys, as well as emailed input from both residential and business property owners.
