Allen Road and Lake Forrest Drive Intersection Improvements
Status: Design contract approved by City Council on December 5, 2023.
Background: Due to traffic and safety concerns the City of Sandy Springs is proposing a mini-roundabout at the intersection of Allen Road and Lake Forrest Drive. The intersection improvements include operational and safety enhancements to alleviate the existing bottleneck condition on Lake Forrest Drive. Sidewalks and pedestrian access improvements are also planned as part of this concept.
On Thursday, September 21, a Public Information Open House was held at Sandy Springs City Hall, with a presentation detailing the traffic study, and the proposed safety improvements.
