Annual Audit and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
The Annual Audit and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is prepared in cooperation with the City Auditor and submitted to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for consideration of the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
To receive this recognition, a government must publish a comprehensive annual financial report that is well organized, easy to read, and consistent with program standards. The report must also comply with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements.
