Caregiver Training

In keeping with State of Georgia Code, all directors, operators and staff members of day-care facilities (adult and children) and administrators, directors, operators and staff of assisted living communities, assisted living facilities, community living arrangements, memory care units, personal care homes, and residential board and care homes must obtain care-giver fire safety training.  The training is required within 90 days of employment.  A minimum of two hours of fire safety refresher training is also required and must be conducted every three years from the date the initial training is provided. 

These courses are offered through the Georgia Safety Fire Commissioner. To schedule training for an individual or a staff training for a facility, please contact Freddie Pelzer at 678-491-6598.
