All Multifamily Rental Housing Properties will need the following documents to apply for a new or renew the Occupational Tax Certificate (Business License):
All businesses located in the City of Sandy Springs are required to hold a valid Business Occupational Tax Certificate, often referred to as a business license, and pay Business Occupational Taxes. The Certificate is valid for one calendar year and must be renewed annually. You can find the application and more information by visiting the Sandy Springs Revenue Department page.
The City of Sandy Springs will award a Certificate of Code compliance to a property once it has passed all required MRH inspections (listed below). This certificate is required to apply for the business license/ Occupational Tax Certificate.

9. Dryer Vent Cleaning Log (Annual)
All property managers must undergo yearly training on the new ordinance presented by the MRH task force and receive a certificate of attendance (Property Manager Certification). This certificate is required to apply for the business license/ Occupational Tax Certificate. Property owners and other staff members are encouraged to attend this training, but it is not a requirement.
