City of Sandy Springs to Host Back to School Bash – A National Night Out Event

The City of Sandy Springs will kick off the school year and honor local law enforcement with its annual Back to School Bash – A National Night Out Event. Set for Tuesday, August 6, this event celebrates National Night Out while fostering stronger community-police relations and providing an enjoyable evening for families. This year’s festivities are supported by the Sandy Springs Police, Sandy Springs Fire, and Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Departments.

WHEN:          August 6, 2024, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• DNR Helicopter in zone 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
• Fulton County PD helicopter in zone 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

EVENT DETAILS:

• Meet and greet with Sandy Springs’ police officers, firefighters, and K-9s.
• Explore police cars, fire trucks, a mobile command center, and SWAT trucks.
• Witness two helicopters landing on Mount Vernon Hwy.
• Experience a large inflatable obstacle course, free shaved ice, balloon art, and carnival games.
• Dance to music with a DJ.
• Delight in three Prehistoric Nation lifelike dinosaurs, transporting guests back to the prehistoric era with entertaining facts, live-action games and entertainment.
