Dino Egg Hunt for Children with Disabilities at Morgan Falls
March 16, 2021
Morgan Falls Overlook Park returns to the days of dinosaurs for a special dino-inspired egg hunt on Saturday, April 3, 2021. The egg hunt is hosted by Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks in partnership with the Optimist Club and is designed for children with physical and developmental disabilities.
"These special residents and their families will be able to enjoy the fun of the hunt, designed to accommodate their unique needs," said Recreation and Parks Director Michael Perry.
The egg hunt creates an opportunity for children with physical and developmental disabilities to have an inclusive experience with the community. During the event, the area will be monitored for safety and includes a designated space to accommodate children in wheelchairs.
Although this is a free event, reservations are required to ensure social distancing.
Two sessions are available. The first session begins at 10 a.m. (maximum 20 participants). The second session begins at 11:30 a.m. (maximum 20 participants).
Please note that this event does not include music, in consideration of participants with sensory sensitivity. Parents should also be advised that small objects are included within the dino-eggs. For more information and to register, visit registration.sandyspringsga.gov.
