Sandy Springs to Host Roswell Road Safety Public Meeting

January 10, 2022

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (Jan. 10, 2022) – The City of Sandy Springs will hold a community meeting as it continues the process of identifying improvements to enhance the long-term safety of Roswell Road.

The virtual meeting will take place on Monday, Jan. 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. For meeting information, please visit spr.gs/accessroswell.

This meeting is the first of several public engagement opportunities planned as part of the Roswell Road Access Management Plan. The plan builds upon the “Next 10” Comprehensive Plan and Roswell Road Small Area Plan, which established a vision for Roswell Road as a “boulevard” with safer access for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.

The Roswell Road Access Management Plan will include a list of projects, costs, and other implementation guidance to help Sandy Springs achieve its long-term vision for the Roswell Road corridor and will recommend access management treatments, such as medians and crosswalks, to make the corridor a safer place to travel.

The presentation, displays, and an online public input mapping survey will be posted on the City’s website following the meeting. Public input will be accepted until Monday, Feb. 7, 2022. For more information visit spr.gs/accessroswell or contact the City at SafeRoswellRoad@sandyspringsga.gov.
