Smart 911

Smart911 is a free 9-1-1 information service available in Sandy Springs. Smart911 allows individuals to create a Safety Profile that includes as much or as little information they want 9-1-1 and response teams to know. The Safety Profile is only displayed to the 9-1-1 call takers when individuals dial 9-1-1, making response teams aware of information and details they might not have known previously - such as how many people live in a home, the location of bedrooms, allergies or specific medical conditions, and even photos of those in your Safety Profile. These details can save valuable seconds or even minutes during an emergency.

Did you know that mobile phones don't provide an address for the caller? By adding all phones for your household, 9-1-1 will have a better idea of where you are when you need help.

When you register for Smart911 you will be given the opportunity to sign-up to receive Sandy Springs Alerts via text or email. You choose the types of alerts you wish to receive - Emergency Notifications related to weather, power outages or safety issues, and Traffic Notifications including a weekly update or simply emergency alerts.
