City Records And Open Records Requests
The Georgia Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq.) requires that all public records, except those exempted by law or court order, be available for inspection by any individual at a reasonable time and place.

Information and Reports
- Police Traffic and Incident Reports: Police traffic and incident reports may be obtained through the Sandy Springs Police Reports page. Only government agencies may submit requests directly to pdrecords@sandyspringsga.gov.
- Building Permits, Development Plans, and Code Enforcement Cases: Information related to submitted building permits, development plans, and the status of reported Code Enforcement issues is available through the OpenGov Public Records Search Tool.
- Maps and Datasets: Maps and other datasets are available through the Open Data Portal.
- Budget and Finance Information: Access Budget and Finance Information.
- City Code and Technical Documents: Review the City Code of Ordinances, Development Code, and Technical Manual.
- City Council Resolutions: View City Council Resolutions.
- City Council Ordinances: View City Council Ordinances.
- Public Facilities Authority Resolutions: View Public Facilities Authority Resolutions.
- Public Meeting Documents: Access Public Meeting Documents.
- Open Records Requests: Submit an Open Records Request.
Open Records Request Processing Fees
As authorized by O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71, the City may charge fees for search, retrieval, redaction, and other direct administrative costs associated with an open records request after the first 15 minutes of staff time. Fees are based on the hourly rate of the lowest-paid full-time employee qualified to perform the work.
Additional fees may include:
- Paper copies: $0.10 per page
- Flash drive: $4.00 each
- Oversized copies (plats), 48 × 32 inches: $8.00
- Oversized copies (plats), 24 × 30 inches: $4.50
- Oversized copies (plats), 24 × 36 inches: $6.56
- Police dash camera or body camera video recordings: $15.00
- Accident reports: $5.00

Online
To pay by debit or credit card, visit the Open Records Public Portal.
In Person
A 3.95% processing fee applies to payments made by debit or credit card. There is no processing fee for cash payments. Visit City Hall and ask for the City Clerk's Office.
By Check
