Storm Impact

For live updates of road closures, downed trees, and traffic signal outages, please check the weather event dashboard.

Due to damages caused by the storm, Windsor Meadows Park is closed until Thursday, October 3.

Storm Report Resources:

As we respond to the damage left behind by Helene, we want to share resources with property owners to assist with immediate storm repair and emergency tree removals.

A Tree Removal Permit is not required if the tree is dead, hazardous, or structurally defective (a fallen tree on your property). If the tree is in danger of falling and needs to be removed, send photos and a description of the tree to the City Arborist (arborist@sandyspringsga.gov) before removal.

If you have property damage, emergency repairs are allowed. If a permit is required, please submit for the necessary permit within 24 hours or reach out to staff with questions.

To schedule an appointment with the Permitting and Revenue Offices, please visit: spr.gs/chq
