Part of Sandy Springs’ charm is the community spirit found within the city. Residents and visitors alike, love it here and share their passion by volunteering with the City in a variety of different ways.
Volunteer opportunities at Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center include greeting, ushering, ticket scanning, assisting with Guest Services, and various other venue needs.
Requirements
An aptitude for enjoying work with the public. Capable of working up to 4 hours per shift, walking steps, and occasionally standing for long periods of time. At least 18 years old. Ushers bid monthly for shows they wish to work, with shows assigned on a first come – first served basis. Volunteers are encouraged to participate in at least one event every three months. There is no cost to join the usher corps. Prior to acceptance as an usher, you must complete an application and undergo a background check.

When ushering, volunteer ushers can enjoy seeing the wide variety of shows offered at SSPAC, and have an opportunity to meet a diverse group of our terrific volunteers from throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area who enjoy working at SSPAC. Free parking is provided for events at which you volunteer.
Orientation
A two-hour training program which includes a site tour is provided at the theatre, before you can usher.
